PUTRAJAYA: Singer Datuk Jamal Abdillah made an unexpected appearance at the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) headquarters this morning, surprising reporters awaiting FashionValet founders Datin Vivy Yusof and Datuk Fadzaruddin Shah Anuar, Sinar Harian reported.
Jamal, accompanied by his driver, smiled and waved to the gathered media from his car as he entered through the MACC gates.
Without saying a word, the legendary singer continued to smile and chuckle while reporters filmed and photographed him.
Seeing the media's reaction, Jamal's driver, also smiling, playfully remarked, "You've got the wrong person," adding a laugh.
Earlier today, the MACC was scheduled to resume recording statements from the FashionValet founders husband and wife duo at 10am.
Yesterday, the MACC took their statements at the same location after they arrived at 2.30pm, completing the process by 10pm.
It followed reports of Khazanah Nasional Berhad (Khazanah) and Permodalan Nasional Bhd (PNB) suffering RM43.9 million in investment losses in FashionValet.
Vivy and Fadzaruddin are among six people whose statements have been recorded after investigators raided four locations, including a ministry, yesterday.
MACC investigators also raided the FashionValet office, as well as the Finance Ministry (MoF), Khazanah, and PNB.
