KUALA LUMPUR: The Public Accounts Committee has decided to summon three parties regarding the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) investigation into the National Farmers' Organisation (Nafas), with the proceedings scheduled for the second week of December.
PAC chairman Datuk Mas Ermieyati Samsudin said, among those to be summoned would be the Nafas management, including its chief executive officer, and the national Farmers' Organisation Authority (LPP) regulators.
She said this was so that the PAC could get an explanation from Nafas about the issues currently affecting it.
"The PAC is concerned that the issues and the crisis affecting Nafas now would lead to an even bigger problem, like a shortage in supply of fertiliser for farmers," she told reporters in Parliament today.
