Grieving widow searches for dead husband's phone

KUALA LUMPUR: A Malaysian woman is fervently trying to recover the phone of her husband, who died in a traffic accident on Tuesday near Changi Beach.

Norshahirah Nabihah Mohammad Azan is seeking help from the public to locate the device, which she says contains a note for her and details of the banking account he had opened for their baby.

The couple, both 33, were originally from Kelantan but had relocated to Johor Baru two years ago, reported The New Paper.

This move was made so that Muhammad Isma Azwa Md Salleh, a hydrographic surveyor with Boskalis International, could more easily commute to Singapore for work.

Tragically, on Nov 5, the motorcycle he was riding collided with a car, and he was taken to Changi General Hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.

However, Nabihah's sister, Nurshahirah Nadiah Muhammad Azan, 37, confirmed that the phone had been tracked moving away from the scene of the accident.

Despite repeated attempts by the family, friends, and even the police to contact the phone, it remains unreachable.

"Please return the phone to us," Norshahirah pleaded. "If you intend to sell it, sell it to us. We won't ask any questions or place any blame."

Meanwhile, social media users have rallied behind the family, urging the person responsible to return the phone.

"Give it back to his family. That's his item and his wife's only memory of him," wrote Facebook user Star Sunshine.

"I pray that you find the phone," commented Mcihael Tan.

"This person doesn't seem to have a conscience. Heartless, can you please return the phone to the widow?" added Louisa Anthony.
