KUALA LUMPUR: A total of 3,950 Health Ministry staff members have been granted permanent appointments by the Public Service Commission (PSC) since Oct 21.
This number includes 3,200 medical officers, 350 dentists and 400 pharmacists, all of whom were on interim (contract) appointments with the Health Ministry.
The ministry, in a statement today congratulated the staff members and hoped that they would remain committed to providing excellent service for the well-being of the Malaysian Madani community in their new appointments.
It said the candidates would report for duty on Dec 30 or any other new dates agreed and approved by the respective department head, upon request for a later reporting date.
The ministry added that the placement process into facilities will be carried out by the State Health Departments starting from Dec 23 onwards.
"For those who want a placement transfer, they may submit an appeal for the placement transfers through the designated channels. They must do so via the Google Form provided in the e-Placement system between Nov 5 to 11 for medical officers, and from Nov 5 to 15 for dental and pharmacy officers," the statement said.
It added that among the factors that would be given due consideration in the appeal process include candidates who are pursuing ministry approved specialist training, candidates whose spouse or child is suffering from serious health conditions (supported by medical reports), and mutual consent requests for an exchange submitted by two staff members.
