BATU CAVES: Three people were injured in an 11-vehicle pile-up on the MRR2 Highway near the Batu Caves roundabout this evening.
Selangor Fire and Rescue Department assistant director (operations), Ahmad Mukhlis Mukhtar, said they received a distress call at 4.43pm, and a team from the Selayang station was rushed to the scene.
Upon arrival, the firefighters observed that a five-tonne lorry and a motorcycle were also involved in the crash.
"One of the victims was trapped in the car wreckage and had to be extricated before being sent to the hospital.
"Two men, aged 43 and 65, sustained injuries, as well as a 49-year-old woman. All the injured were rushed to the hospital by ambulance," he said.
