KUALA LUMPUR: Prasarana Malaysia Berhad, through its Rapid KL services, has decided to increase the frequency of trains and buses for selected bus routes from Nov 22 to 24, 2024, to encourage and accommodate visitors attending the Second Year Madani Government Anniversary (2TM) programme at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre.
In a statement today, Prasarana said this initiative showed its commitment to supporting government efforts that are beneficial and informative about the government's direction directly to the public.
"The event, which kicks off tomorrow, can be accessed using Rapid KL's rail and bus services, including the LRT KLCC station (Kelana Jaya Line), the MRT Persiaran KLCC station (Putrajaya Line), and the Raja Chulan monorail station.
"For the LRT Kelana Jaya and MRT Putrajaya lines, train frequency will be increased to every 3 minutes and 5 minutes, respectively, from 10am to 3pm on Saturday. We want to ensure greater capacity and comfort for all those travelling to the event," it said.
For bus services, it said Rapid KL will be adding more buses to improve frequency on the following routes: Route 300 (Pandan Indah - Lebuh Ampang), Route 303 (Taman Mulia Jaya – Lebuh Ampang), and Route 402 (Titiwangsa – KLCC).
"Visitors are encouraged to use the 'Park N Ride' facilities at selected rail stations to avoid traffic congestion and parking issues at the event venue.
"For convenience, users are advised to use the same Touch 'N Go card for both train travel and parking payments, ensuring a flat-rate parking fee," it added.
Prasarana also said that more auxiliary police and operational staff would be deployed throughout this period at selected rail stations and the KLCC bus terminal to ensure passengers' safety and the smooth operation of transportation throughout the three-day event.
