SHAH ALAM: Three river monitoring stations operated by the Drainage and Irrigation Department in Selangor reported water levels exceeding the danger level as of 11.15 am today.
According to the department's official flood information portal, the affected stations are Bukit Changgang in Kuala Langat, Pekan Meru in Klang, and Kampung Sungai Selisik in Hulu Selangor.
The Kampung Salak Tinggi, Jenderam Hilir, Dengkil, and Jambatan SKC river monitoring stations reported water levels at the alarming level.
As of press time, several areas around Shah Alam and Klang are still experiencing rain.
Meanwhile, according to the Welfare Department, two temporary evacuation centers (PPS) have been activated in the state as of 9.30 am today.
These PPS are currently housing 161 victims from 40 families. The two PPS are the Balai MPKK Bukit Kapar and Sekolah Kebangsaan Bukit Binjai, Meru.
