KUBANG PASU: The search for a man feared drowned after being swept away while fishing with nets in floodwaters near Jalan Paya Kubang Lembu, Kampung Tok Kesop, Jitra, resumed this morning.
Kedah Fire and Rescue Department Zone 1 Chief Ahmad Aminudin Abd Rahim said the operation, involving 30 personnel from the department, began at 8am.
"Today's search will cover a radius of one to two kilometres along Sungai Kampung Paya Parit Lateh in Jitra, starting from the victim's last known location," he said in a statement.
It was reported yesterday that the man, believed to be in his 40s, was swept away while fishing in floodwaters in the area.
