KUALA LUMPUR: Former Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) chief Tan Sri Dzulkifli Ahmad announced the opening on the Anti-Money Laundering and Anti-Corruption (AMLAC) Academy in the country, an educational initiative designed to train professionals to fight corruption.
"We are committed to shaping a future where financial systems are transparent, secure and free from corruption," said Dzulkifli, who is AMLAC Academy president, at the launch here today.
"This academy embodies our lifelong passion for fighting corruption, and we believe every professional must be equipped with the knowledge and tools to combat money laundering and corruption effectively."
The academy's flagship programme, the professional diploma in corporate anti-corruption management (PD CAM), is a six-month course that covers anti-corruption law, anti-money laundering law, corruption risk management and corporate liability to address corporate integrity challenges.
Conducted by experts, the programme promises to transform professionals into frontline defenders against financial crime using industrial training methods.
Besides education and training, the academy's website also said it offers consultancy and advisory services, special-tailored programmes to deal with financial crimes, as well as conducting research and policy analysis on corruption, money laundering and fraud. (https://amlacacademy.com/)
The establishment of the academy is a result of a collaboration with prestigious institutions, including the Kuala Lumpur International Education Consortium (KLIEC), Universiti Teknologi Malaysia's School of Professional and Continuing Education (UTMSPACE) and the London Examinations Board (LEB).
All graduates will receive recognition from the London Examinations Board (LEB), a certification validated by the Association of Certified Professionals (ACP) in London.
According to its Facebook site, the academy held its first convocation for learners of the PD CAM course at the House Of Commons of the United Kingdom Parliament in Westminster, London, last month.
