KOTA KINABALU: Sabah PKR has called for a transparent investigation into allegations of a corruption scandal involving several State Assembly members (ADUN), some of whom are reportedly linked to the current state government.
Sabah PKR Deputy State Leadership Council Chairman, Datuk Peto Galim made the call during a press conference following the state council meeting held here today.
"There should be no interference from any parties. This aligns with our commitment to defending reforms and upholding integrity," he said.
Earlier, Sabah DAP urged the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) to prioritise the investigation into the alleged corruption scandal involving several ADUNs, as revealed by a news portal.
The allegations are linked to the management of Sabah's mineral resources, following a video by Jontih Enggihon, the former CEO of Sabah Mineral Management Sdn Bhd (SMM), which claimed abuse of power.
