Hajiji: Musa Aman's legacy a guide to Sabah's growth

KOTA KINABALU: Yang di-Pertua Negeri Tun Musa Aman's tenure as Chief Minister can serve as a guide for governing and developing this state, said Chief Minister Datuk Seri Hajiji Noor.

He said that as the longest-serving Chief Minister in Sabah's history, the state had experienced significant progress and development, which will undoubtedly continue to benefit the state.

"Indeed, the appointment of Tun Musa as the new Yang di-Pertua Negeri of Sabah is timely and appropriate, given his extensive experience and previous contributions to the state of Sabah. I am confident that this appointment can elevate Sabah to greater heights of excellence, reflecting the extensive experience of His Excellency Tun during his 15 years of leadership under the previous state government," he said.

Hajiji was speaking during the State Banquet with Musa and Toh Puan Faridah Tussin at the Sabah International Convention Centre (SICC) tonight.

He also called on all leaders and the people of the state to strengthen cooperation, unity, and resolve so that the aspirations and dreams of making Sabah more progressive, peaceful, and prosperous can be realised.

"Looking at the challenges ahead, with the global economic climate still uncertain in 2025, the state government, civil servants driving the government machinery, and the private sector must enhance cooperation and strengthen strategies to achieve progress for the state and well-being for all its people. Let us work together with determination and diligence toward ensuring that our beloved Sabah continues to advance and excel; may it always be successful, peaceful, and prosperous," he said.

Present at the banquet were state speaker Datuk Seri Kadzim Yahya, state and federal cabinet ministers, as well as more than a thousand guests.
