Malaysia to host IRC 2025 on digital transformation

KUALA LUMPUR: The Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC) will host the International Regulatory Conference (IRC) 2025, focusing on the evolving digital landscape and the regulatory frameworks for emerging technologies.

The conference, centred around the theme 'Leaping into the Quantum Frontier: Regulation and Innovation in the Tech Era,' will be held from January 7 to 8 in Kuala Lumpur.

Bringing together global regulators, industry leaders, and experts, the conference will explore the frameworks necessary to navigate the challenges and opportunities of the digital era, with a focus on digital transformation and the impact of technological advancements across various sectors.

Distinguished speakers include Nasution Mohamed, Chief Operating Officer of Digital Nasional Berhad; Dr Megat Zuhairy Megat Tajuddin, CEO of the National Cyber Security Agency (NACSA); and Superintendent Madhavan Nair Unnikrishnan, Assistant Director of the Royal Malaysia Police's Computer/Internet Crime Investigation division.
