[UPDATED] Singaporean among six injured in bus-lorry crash on NSE

KULAI: A Singaporean was among six passengers who sustained minor injuries when the bus they were traveling in rear-ended a trailer lorry at Km26.9 of the North-South Expressway (southbound) early this morning (Jan 9).

District police chief Assistant Commissioner Tan Seng Lee said the bus driver, 28, was heading towards Johor Baru when he lost control and crashed into the lorry's rear, at 6.50am.

There were nine passengers including the Singaporean.

Six passengers, aged between 20 and 78, sustained minor injuries, including the Singaporean.

All were taken to the Temenggong Seri Maharaja Tun Ibrahim Hospital.

Tan said both drivers and three other bus passengers escaped unharmed.
