KUALA LUMPUR: "If you see me and want to give me money, I will not take it.
"If you want to help me, please buy my cookies and snacks, or you can 'infaq' it."
For 33-year-old Radin Daniel, despite being disabled, he refused to rely on handouts and people's pity.
He sells repacked cookies and snacks in plastic bottles to support himself.
"I still have 'kudrat (strength)' to make a living through selling cookies and snacks online, or occasionally at bazaars," said Radin Daniel when contacted today.
Sharing about his Daniel Beeskut business, he said it all started after the Covid-19 pandemic hit the country.
"Instead of just sitting still and looking at the four-cornered wall, I decided to sell repacked cookies and snacks to make a living.
"The money then I use to pay for my food, rent, bills and restocking the cookies and snacks," said Radin Daniel, who has cerebral palsy.
His repacked cookies and snacks are priced at RM10 (small), RM20 (medium) and RM30 (large).
Asked about the challenges he faces, Radin Daniel said there were too many of them.
"Among them, passersby were sceptical after seeing people like me doing business by selling cookies and snacks. Maybe, they never see a person, who is in a wheelchair doing business.
"I was being accused of being a scammer. I am not a scammer. It is just that I have some difficulties when packing customers' orders.
"Using just one hand, hence it takes time," he said.
On how many jars he gets to sell daily, Radin Daniel replied; "About six."

Earlier, on the X app, Radin Daniel shared that he is selling repacked cookies and snacks for a living.
