KUALA LUMPUR: A man from Bihar, India, married his mother-in-law after their affair was exposed by his father-in-law.
According to the Times of India, father of two Sikandar Yadav, 45, moved in with his in-laws after his wife's passing.
During his stay at their home in Heer Moti village, Sikandar and his mother-in-law, Geeta Devi, 55, developed romantic feelings for each other.
His father-in-law, Dileshwar Darve, decided to investigate when he noticed them growing closer and caught them red-handed.
Dileshwar reported the affair to the panchayat, which is the village council, to seek a resolution to the issue.
After the affair was discovered and reported, Sikandar confessed his love for his mother-in-law in front of villagers and the panchayat.
His father-in-law and the panchayat decided to sanction the marriage between Sikandar and Geeta.
Dileshwar himself organised the wedding and gave them his blessing.
It was reported that the couple had a proper court marriage to formalise their relationship.
