Many viewers have expressed nostalgia and appreciation for Abang Mat's steadfast dedication.
Comments on the video highlight the importance of such traditional roles in the community, with users reminiscing about the days when newspaper vendors were a common sight on every street corner.
@ezzy_pezzy90 said it had been a while since he last purchased newspapers from Abang Mat, adding that he frequented the vendor when he was working in the area before.
"When I used to work in the area for more than five years, I would buy from Abang Mat. I hope he is well. Wait for me to return to Terengganu, and I shall pop by," he said.
@yani_kamarul expressed her nostalgia, as she had visited the vendor when her late father was around.
"My late father would first read the newspapers on his motorcycle before going back. I would then proceed to go into Abang Mat's stall to read the magazines. This stall is truly legendary," she said.
