BATU PAHAT: A man drove against the flow of traffic here after taking medication for a heart condition, police said.
A dashcam recording of his vehicle travelling from Ayer Hitam towards Parit Raja went viral today, racking up more than 1.6 million views on Facebook.
Acting district police chief Superintendent Shahrulanuar Mushaddat Abdullah said the driver had taken medicine that he obtained from a doctor for a heart condition, adding that it caused him to become drowsy.
"He had supporting medical documents and took six pills prior to the incident," Shahrulanuar said.
He added that police recorded the driver's statement.
