#NSTviral: Football coach's no-nonsense training technique draws mixed reactions from netizens

KUALA LUMPUR: A football coach's seemingly aggressive approach has sparked mixed reactions on social media.

In a video shared by Pencinta Bola Sepak Malaysia on Facebook, the coach was seen instructing a student on goalkeeping techniques.

The demonstration involved using strong force and correct hand positioning to block the ball and prevent injuries.

However, the coach's method was perceived by some netizens as harsh and too demanding.

The footage showed the coach frequently yelling at the student and others on the field, which led to a surge of mixed responses online.

The video quickly garnered over 5,000 likes and 3,000 comments on Facebook.

Some viewers criticised the coach's aggressive teaching style, particularly towards a female student, arguing that such methods were excessive and could be counterproductive.

"The coach should be cautious when training young girls to ensure their safety. You should let them perform stunts independently and avoid aggressive handling of their arms," said user MrBobo Hazim.

Others, however, supported a stricter approach, arguing that a firm coaching style was essential.

"Do not look from the beginning of their hardship training. We must focus on their winning result in the end.

"I hope she will represent Malaysia in football in the future," said user Ayu Masni.

"To become a winner in any sport, one must surpass the skills of the average person. Therefore, training must exceed that of most people.

"Its better to endure pain and tears during training than to suffer and cry from losing in a competition.

"Training at an ordinary level will only produce average athletes," said user Neville Sd.

"Before their training begins, there must be mutual agreement between the parents and students.

"The coach will also explain their teaching methods beforehand. To become the best, training must be rigorous," said user Azri Kamarudin.
