KUALA LUMPUR: A video of what appears to be a Palestinian child jesting with a member of the Royal Malaysian Air Force has pulled at heartstrings online.
The clip, reposted by Budakjahat on TikTok, shows the child playfighting with the soldier as two other children, strapped in their seats, watch gleefully.
This was after two flights by the Royal Malaysian Air Force flew from Egypt to Malaysia, carrying 127 injured Palestinian civilians, yesterday.
The flights, which arrived at around 2pm, consisted of men, women, and children who survived Israel's onslaught since Oct 7.
Netizens were happy that the children found joy and respite from the violence in Palestine.
"I am happy to see the children of Gaza being shown love here", said user Mimie Haryatie.
"Thank you for making him happy. Welcome, my kin", said user aaisyahkarimm.
Some wer awe struck by their tenacity at such a tender age.
"I am heartbroken when I see Palestinian children. How can they be so strong, to face such an enormous challenge, when they are so young?", asked user Aries29_D.j Lai.
However, for others, the scene echoes another historic chapter in the country's peacekeeping efforts.
"This reminds me of the war in Bosnia and Herzegovina", said user the butterflyz.
The flights were undertaken after Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim announced the initiative at the Palestine Solidarity Rally on Aug 4.
