#NSTviral: Diverse Malaysian trains intersecting in Sungai Besi shows how far our transportation has progressed [WATCH]

KUALA LUMPUR: A stunning video of Malaysia's diverse rail transportation systems captured at a single location captivated social media users recently.

The original video, posted by Facebook user Fahmie Izwan, shows four trains — two at ground level and two overhead — passing each other simultaneously in Sungai Besi.

While it is unclear whether the video was edited or captured in a single shot, the sight and sound of all the trains moving in unison evoked admiration from viewers.

User Fizree Helmi said the trains are likely an MRT heading to Putrajaya, an LRT bound for Chan Sow Lin, a KTM Komuter going to Kajang, and an ERL heading to KL Sentral.

"Thank you for going out of your way and taking the time just so we can enjoy this beautiful view," said user Hasan INem.

"This video amazes me. The sound of the train is enough — no need for background music," remarked user Sheau Mey Liau.

Some viewers appreciated the effort Fahmie must have taken to capture the perfect shot.

"How long were you there before you got this shot?" asked user Georgia Hiong.

"How long did you wait for them to pass by at the same time? Or are you always there?" queried user Elzaat Mighraa.

Others joked that the appearance of a plane and a ship would complete an iconic image.

"If you had a plane and a ship pass in the frame, you would pass out!" commented user Idris Mokhtar, referencing the reverse illustration on the old ten Ringgit banknote, which depicted a cargo ship and a Malaysian Airlines plane alongside an LRT train. The image was intended to inspire pride in Malaysia as a developing nation.

Since then, several new railway systems have joined the ranks alongside the LRT.

"Malaysia, my beloved homeland. Even other developed nations might not have infrastructure like this. I am proud to be Malaysian," said user Aeorodance with Mr Khay.
