#NSTviral: Police hunt for daredevil who jumped monorail tracks in viral video [WATCH]

KUALA LUMPUR: Police are searching for a man caught on video jumping across train tracks at the Bukit Bintang monorail station on Sept 24.

Dang Wangi police chief Assistant Commissioner Sulizmie Affendy Sulaiman said the 4-second clip, shared widely on social media, shows the man leaping from platform to platform at 11.35pm.

"Prasarana Malaysia Bhd's auxiliary police lodged a report about the incident at 9.34pm yesterday. Their officers attempted to locate the individual immediately after the incident but were unsuccessful," he said in a statement today.

The suspect, who has not yet been identified, was seen in the video with a sling bag, jumping from one platform to another and entering a platform screen door that was left open.

Authorities are urging anyone with information to contact the Dang Wangi police headquarters at 03-26002222, the Kuala Lumpur Police Hotline at 03-21159999, or any nearby police station.

The case is being investigated under Section 447 of the Penal Code for criminal trespass.
