Cops looking for man throwing rocks from monorail station's overhead bridge

KUALA LUMPUR: A man allegedly threw rocks at vehicles from the overhead bridge at a monorail station on Jalan Imbi here, causing a car's window to shatter yesterday, said police.

Acting Dang Wangi police chief Superintendent Nuzulan Mohd Din said a report was made about 5pm.

He said police were trying to locate the suspect.

Earlier, a woman had posted on Facebook about her boyfriend's car window being shattered by a rock thrown by an unknown man from the overhead bridge at a monorail station on Jalan Imbi.

Hui Min Chia said the incident occurred between 12.30pm and 1.30pm. She said they were driving in a Honda Insight when they were startled by a loud bang coming from the back of the car.

"We found the rear window shattered and a rock on the passenger seat.

"Looking around, we saw a man throwing rocks from the monorail station's overhead bridge. My boyfriend called the police to report the incident."
