KUALA LUMPUR: Three videos have surfaced showing a food stall operator engaged in unhygienic food preparation practices, using a long paint stick to stir chicken feet boiling in a pot of hot water.
In one of the videos, the man, believed to be a stall operator at a restaurant, is seen picking up the stick from the dirty pavement to stir the boiling contents and then placing it back on the ground.
In the first video, it is not clear what the man was stirring but in the subsequent two videos, it can bee seen that he was stirring a pot filled with chicken feet.
The video posted on the Sri Petaling/Kuchai Lama/Oug/ Bukit Jalil/ Happy Garden/ Salak South group on Facebook received over 600 reactions and the stall operator's actions were badly criticised by netizens who commented on the post.
While most of the comments urged the page to report the matter to the authorities, there was one comment from Tong Song Fong who said the man would most likely deny his actions and say he was boiling some dirty tablecloth or preparing food for animals instead.
Another user, Andy Ng wrote: "Authorities should take immediate steps to apprehend the culprit. It should never be tolerated!".
