ACTION! Action! Action!
This the battle cry delegates want to hear from party leaders at the Umno general assembly.
Be they from the Wanita, Youth and Puteri wings, the veterans or observers who are obviously hardcore Umno supporters, they feel that the long wait for the 14th General Election must end soon.
The party, they say has optimised its preparedness for battle and is at its strongest in term of unity in the ranks and file at every level.
"We are nearly at our peak and with unity as our core strength, a general election now may give Barisan Nasional the two-third majority which has eluded the party in the past three elections.
"We are itching for action now that we have the momentum," stressed a delegate from Terengganu.
But these delegates will be given the strongest hint yet on the timing of the general election during the closed-door pre-council meeting at 3pm today.
However, the delegates made their own predictions on when Parliament will be dissolved.
Most predicted a timeline of a couple of months after Chinese New Year in February but a few think that the dissolution will take place before the end of the year.
At the moment, they avoided questions on the most likely candidates in their respective constituencies and agreed that the matter should be left to the party leadership.
However, they felt the choice should be a good mix of incumbents who are still a powerhouse and youths who embodied the party's struggle and are liked by the people.
