GEORGE TOWN: The Penang Front Party (PFP) will field young candidates of diverse racial backgrounds for the 14th General Election (GE14).
Its president Datuk Patrick Ooi, said the candidates, all below 40 years old, will contest in 13 state seats and one parliamentary seat.
“We also have two women candidates.
“All our candidates are either business people or professionals who are able to represent the people well.
“We will submit all the names to the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) today for vetting purposes,” he said.
Set up two years ago, this will be the PFP’s first foray into the polls.
He said the party is expected to field candidates in Datuk Keramat, Batu Uban, Pantai Jerejak state seats; as well as the mainland and Batu Kawan parliamentary seat.
Earlier, Ooi and several PFP members visited the state Election Commission office to purchase 13 nomination forms.
He said PFP will introduce all the candidates next week, along with the party manifesto.
“We will bring to light various issues affecting the people in our manifesto as our main aim is to set up people and business-friendly government.
“We do not want corrupt leaders who are corrupted.” he added.
