SEMPORNA: The state seat of Senallang will see a one-on-one fight between cousins Semporna Barisan Nasional (BN) division chairman Datuk Seri Nasir Sakaran and Parti Warisan Sabah (Warisan) president Datuk Seri Mohd Shafie Apdal.
This is due to Parti Harapan Rakyat Sabah’s (Harapan Rakyat) candidate Mohd Zakaria @ Md Jakaria Jakarullah nomination which was rejected by the Election Commission as the proposer is not a voter under the state constituency.
Semporna Parliamentary seat meanwhile will see a four-corner fight, of which incumbent Mohd Shafie will be facing BN candidate Datuk Ramlee Marahaban, Harapan Rakyat candidate Asmara Asmad and Pas candidate Abdul Nasir Ab Rauf.
Abdul Nasir is also running for Sulabayan state seat, where a four-corner fight will involve incumbent Datuk Dr Jaujan Sambakong who is representing Warisan.
They will contest against BN candidate Datuk Harman Mohamad and Harapan Rakyat candidate Utung Tanjung Baru.
A six-corner fight in Bugaya constituency will see BN candidate Datuk Razak Sakaran against Warisan’s Manis Muka Mohd Dara, Parti Kebangsaan Sabah (PKS) Kulli Malaram, Parti Perpaduan Rakyat Sabah (PPRS) Mohammad Said Tiblan, Pas candidate Mahamod Sarahil and independent Abd Muksin Mohamad Hasan.
