PENAMPANG: Parti Bersatu Sabah (PBS) will use Gabungan Rakyat Sabah's logo in the upcoming 15th general election.
Its president, Datuk Seri Dr Maximus Ongkili, said although the PBS logo was better known by its supporters, it was a collective decision to use a common logo among the component parties within the coalition.
In the 2020 state election, the oldest political party in Sabah had used its own logo and won seven state seats. Apart from PBS, GRS comprises Bersatu, SAPP, Star and Usno.
"It is for the solidarity towards GRS...because we are part of the government." he said.
As for the seat distribution, the incumbent Kota Marudu member of parliament said this had yet to be disclosed by GRS chairman Datuk Seri Hajiji Noor.
Maximus added that following a GRS meeting last night, they were still in the dark over how many seats GRS and Barisan Nasional (BN) were getting.
He said they only discussed the cooperation with BN and election strategies.
