GE15: Race to Bandar Tun Razak confirmed

KUALA LUMPUR: Battle lines in the Bandar Tun Razak parliamentary seat have been confirmed.

The constituency will see a three-corner fight between Pakatan Harapan's Datuk Seri Dr Wan Azizah, Barisan Nasional's Datuk Chew Yin Keen and Perikatan Nasional's Datuk Kamarudin Jaffar.

Earlier, Bandar Tun Razak parliamentary elections officer, Mohammad Amin announced that no nomination forms for the three candidates were rejected.

He added that the nomination centre is pleased with the nomination process, which ended at 10am.

Dr Wan Azizah submitted her nomination papers at 9.04am, Chew at 9.07am and Kamarudin at 9.09am.

A total of 119,185 individuals are set to cast their votes at the constituency.

In GE14, the Bandar Tun Razak parliamentary seat was won by Kamarudin, who previously contested under the PKR banner.

He secured a total of 41,126 votes and defeated BN's Adnan Abu Senan who gained 21,196 votes and Pas' Dr Rosni Adam, who received 7,884 votes.

Meanwhile, the Bandar Tun Razak constituency was held by the late former Selangor Menteri Besar Tan Sri Abdul Khalid Ibrahim for two terms.
