KUALA LUMPUR: Parti Pejuang Tanahair Pejuang Muda (Youth) chief Dr Abu Hafiz Salleh Hudin has resigned from the post effective today.
In a statement, Hafiz said the decision was made after considering various factors including a sense of responsibility for the party's performance in the recent 15th General Election.
"May the new Youth wing leadership be better in steering Pejuang Muda," said Hafiz.
He also thanked Pejuang chairman Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad, the party leadership and fellow youth leaders for their trust in appointing him as Pejuang Muda chief.
"The experience that I have gained will be useful knowledge for me, Insha Allah."
Pejuang and their partners in Gerakan Tanah Air lost all the seats they contested in GE15.
