SHAH ALAM: PKR Youth chief Adam Adli Halim said now is the time the party proved to the people what it has been fighting for all these years.
He said many party leaders had been appointed to helm ministries.
"This is our chance to prove to the people what we have been fighting for in the past 24 years.
"Now that we have won the election, it is time we divided the prizes we gained from the war," he said in his winding-up speech at PKR's congress at Stadium Malawati here today.
He said it was important for the party to prove to the people that the government could protect the interests of the people and the country.
"When Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim became prime minister, he was not the only who made it happen. It involved those at the ministerial and grassroots level."
He said PKR was no longer in the opposition, so the people would scrutinise every step the party took from now on.
"The people will not only assess our branding or those selected (to lead the country), but also how the government looks after the interests of the people and country and how we lead the nation."
Adam Adli called on the party's grassroots to set aside their differences ahead of the six state elections.
"As we face the state elections, more issues will be raised by the grassroots leadership."
He emphasised the importance of communication to ensure information on the government's policies reached the people.
"We can't work in silos. Let's work as a team."
