Anwar calls on Sabah PKR to keep fighting for people's rights

KOTA KINABALU: PKR president Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim has urged party leaders and members to focus and continue their efforts championing the rights of the people in the state.

As the country's main leader, the Prime Minister said he wants to reinvigorate the spirit of reforms to improve the wellbeing and ensure a better future for the state.

"We are fighting for this because we believe in the aspirations of the people.

"This is my message. We want to rejuvenate the spirit of reform. And I believe all leaders share the same vision.

"We must proudly and vigorously wave PKR flag across Sabah," he said during his speech at the Himpunan Perdana Rakyat Keadilan Sabah today.

Anwar said that the interests of the people should adhere to governance principles to ensure the Madani concept in Sabah aligns with that at the federal level.

"As I mentioned to the (Sabah) Chief Minister and like-minded colleagues, the interests of the people must follow governance principles.

"God willing, we will cooperate to ensure there is consensus and unity among leaders in Sabah similar to that of the federal level," he said.
