Juwariya unveils six-pronged 'Agenda Hulu Kelang' for constituency

KUALA LUMPUR: In the race towards the finish line, Pakatan Harapan's Hulu Klang candidate Juwairiya Zulkifli has laid out her six-pronged plan for the constituency.

Her plan known as "Agenda Hulu Klang", is aimed at uplifting the livelihood of the 71,000 voters, including women, youth, and the Orang Asli community.

In a statement today, she expressed her commitment to deliver tangible results, while staying true to Selangor's "Five Pledges for Five Years" manifesto.

Her plan, she said, included enhancing community safety and well-being; upholding Islam as the way of life; amplifying the role and dignity of women; unlocking youth potential; energising economic activities; and upholding the rights of the Orang Asli.

"The proposals within Agenda Hulu Klang are designed to address the immediate community needs and offer sustainable solutions to fulfil its constituents' long-term aspirations.

"Each initiative, from bolstering community safety and well-being to nurturing youth potential, empowering women, stimulating economic growth, and safeguarding the rights of Orang Asli, is designed with meticulous attention to detail upon consultation with the local community, ensuring both realistic and attainable outcomes.

"Agenda Hulu Klang stands as my commitment to drive a meaningful, feasible, and realistic working plan for our vibrant community, in sync with the broader objectives of the pledges announced by (caretaker Selangor Menteri Besar) Datuk Seri Amirudin Shari," said Juwairiya.

The Wanita PKR deputy chief also revealed plans to provide women with free legal advice related to family laws, reiterating her commitment to uplifting the dignity of women within the community.

For the youth, she also plans to develop a dedicated youth development hub in Hulu Klang, which would house computer programming courses, language classes and small-scale technical and vocational education and training (TVET) courses.

Juwairiya also pledges to safeguard the Taman Melawati green zone, adding that it was important to strike a balance between physical development and the preservation of nature.

"I will put in my best effort to cater to these needs. I believe the voters of Hulu Klang will see Agenda Hulu Klang as a sign of my commitment to deliver the best possible service for them," she added.
