KUCHING: Sarawak DAP Youth is unhappy with the name of the Malaysian Olympic official attire, saying that it has deviated from the 'Malaysian context'.
Its political bureau chief Soo Tien Ren claims that the name did not represent the whole of Malaysia.
"In light of this, I urge the Youth and Sports Ministry to reconsider and rename the attire," he said in response to the unveiling of the attire by the deputy minister Adam Adli.
Yesterday, Malaysians caught their first glimpse of the official collection, named 'The Malaya', designed by renowned local designer pair Rizman Ruzaini.
