MB says Pas accepts Nenggiri results with an open heart

GUA MUSANG: Menteri Besar Datuk Mohd Nassuruddin Daud said the Pas-led state government has accepted the results of today's by-election with an open heart.

In a Facebook post, Nassurruddin said the state government also respected the choice made by the Nenggiri voters.

"I want to express my deepest appreciation to all the voters in Nenggiri who have fulfilled their responsibilities in today's by-election.

"I also would like to thank them for making sure the polling process proceed smoothly.

"The involvement of all voters was an important manifestation in ensuring that the democratic process runs smoothly," he said.

Although Perikatan Nasional did not win the contest, the Meranti assemblyman said the state government is committed to continue protecting the welfare of the people in Nenggiri.

"We will continue to take care of the Nenggiri's people through programmes and schemes implemented by the state government.

"The needs of the Nenggiri's people will remain as our priority.

"I would also like to take this opportunity to express my appreciation to all Pas machinery including the Perikatan Nasional party supporters who came to the state constituency to assist the people in Nenggiri throughout the election period.

"Many have sacrificed their time, energy, ideas and money to help PN throughout this by-election. I appreciate their sacrifices and hope God will reward them," he added.
