Labuan DAP elects new leadership with 70 per cent new faces

LABUAN: Labuan DAP has introduced a leadership team, with 70 per cent of the lineup comprising new faces.

The leadership selection was finalised during the Labuan DAP state annual convention, held here today.

Han Fook Chiew was re-elected as chairman and Jeremy Wong Kwan Kit was appointed as deputy chairman, while Peter Chin Khin Fatt and Kong Fen Siew @ Ibrahim Kong were appointed as vice chairmen. 

Key appointments also include Koh Chien Chee @ Vincent as secretary and Poh Yeang Sheng as treasurer.

Bryan Tan Beng Kang takes on the role of organising secretary, Tong Pia Kong as publicity secretary, and Tan Cheng Kiat as political education director.

Speaking at the convention, DAP Central Executive Committee (CEC) representative Datuk Chan Foong Hin underscored the party's unwavering commitment to unity.

He stressed that DAP remains a critical platform through which people can connect with government leaders, facilitating advocacy for welfare and community well-being.

"The significant inclusion of new leadership reflects Labuan DAP's dedication to fostering diverse perspectives within its ranks while remaining steadfast in promoting community welfare and unity," he said. — BERNAMA
