LETTERS: Morib beach in Banting, Selangor, is a popular holiday destination and has been transformed over the years as successive Selangor governments had invested much in upgrading it.
The area now has many hotels and tourist attractions. It pulls in large crowds on weekends and public holidays, making it difficult to find parking. Therefore, more parking space will be welcome.
A lot of retail outlets too have sprung up and a wide variety of events are held here. However, the adjacent Morib Golf Course is in a forlorn state, which is a marked contrast to the extensively renovated Morib vacation spot.
The golf course looks unkempt, and the main road leading to it, is lined with tall decaying trees that could be uprooted by strong winds. The perimeter fence has collapsed. The golf course needs to be spruced up, befitting its image as one of the oldest in Selangor.
A new fence and lined with bright flowering trees will create a better image for the golf course.
The district and municipal authorities need to be strict with owners of seaside properties that have been neglected and are now an eyesore.
I'm sure that locals and foreign tourists would like to see a better and cleaner Morib.
