LETTERS: We call for the immediate expulsion of Israel from the United Nations (UN). The destruction of Gaza and now the bombing of Lebanon reflects Israel's barbarism.
The Israeli aggression continues unabated and has only intensified across villages and towns in South Lebanon and the Bekaa Velley, leaving trails of blood behind.
Israeli strikes have killed 92 people and injured 153 in the past 24 hours, according to a wire agency.
No Western leader, including the US, is able to stop Israel. The Zionist regime is emboldened to pursue its aggression when the West persists in defending Israel on the grounds of self-defense.
The world is witnessing Israel violating all red lines of international law with impunity. The escalation of the aggression was executed in full force according to Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's order.
Taking into account previous examples, the UN should no longer issue statements of concerns and condemnation. The advisory statement from the International Court of Justice (ICJ), criminalising Israel's action, has no impact whatsoever.
Israel is notorious for its recalcitrant attitude to ignoring any UN resolutions. There is enough evidence of taking strong measures against Israel for crimes against humanity and genocide.
A UN mandated military intervention is the only option. We also urge the whole international community to fully enforce sanctions on Israel with immediate effect. There is no indication of any de-escalation from Israel as it is adamant about repeating another Gaza-like military campaign.
Expelling Israel from the UN will isolate Israel. It is the only way to pressure Israel to comply with international law. Take action now.
