KUALA LUMPUR: Malaysia's mixed doubles, Chen Tang Jie-Toh Ee Wei, are just a match away from clinching their second World Tour title.
The 7-month-old combination produced another top-notch performance today to down homesters Ye Hong Wei-Lee Chia Hsin 21-14, 21-19 in the semi-finals of the Taiwan Open.
For the world No. 19 Malaysians, it is their third final this year, after the Iran International in February and the Orleans Masters in April.
Tang Jie-Ee Wei, who were recently included in the Road to Gold (RTG) programme, will play another Taiwanese pair, Chiu Hsiang Chieh-Lin Xiao Min in the final tomorrow.
Hsiang Chieh-Xiao Min, defeated their local teammates, Tseng Min Hao-Hsieh Pei Shan, 21-12, 19-21, 21-17 in the other semi-final match.
