KUALA LUMPUR: Malaysia's World No. 36 Leong Jun Hao scored one of his career's biggest wins when he sent Indonesia's Anthony Ginting packing in the last 16 of the Singapore Open today.
Jun Hao did it in emphatic fashion by racing to a 13-1 lead in the rubber game before sealing a 21-14, 10-21, 21-8 win to mark his first victory over the world No. 7 in three meetings.
It is also the first time that Jun Hao has made it to the quarter-finals of a Super 750-level tournament.
