Zii Jia moves down, Sze Fei-Izzuddin go up [WATCH]

KUALA LUMPUR: Lee Zii Jia has lost his world No. 3 ranking on the back of his early exit at the China Open last week.

In the latest rankings released by the Badminton World Federation (BWF), the Kedahan dropped two spots to No. 5.

However, the former All England winner said he has been struggling with his condition post-Paris Olympics.

The biggest improvement was by professional men's pair Goh Sze Fei-Nur Izzuddin Rumsani who soared to No. 8 from 12th.

The pair, who left the national set-up on Sept 1, have shown a surge in form, winning the Japan and China Opens recently.

This is their highest world ranking to date after their previous best of ninth in 2022.

Men's pair Aaron Chia-Soh Wooi Yik keep their world No. 5 ranking despite skipping all tournaments after the Paris Olympics due to Wooi Yik's fractured toe.

Professional mixed doubles Goh Soon Huat-Shevon Lai went up two places to 10th after their runners-up finish at the China Open last week.

Mixed doubles Chen Tang Jie-Toh Ee Wei maintained their ninth ranking.

Women's pair Pearly Tan-M. Thinaah's world No.8 ranking remains unchanged.
