Malaysia's losing streak continues in Asia Cup women's cricket

KUALA LUMPUR: Malaysia suffered their fourth defeat in the women's Twenty20 Cricket Asia Cup in Bangladesh today.

The national team lost to hosts Bangladesh by 88 runs at the Sylhet International Cricket Stadium.

Malaysia scored the lowest runs of 41 with all out in 18.5 overs.

Bangladesh won the toss and decided to bat first. They managed 129 runs with the fall of five wickets.

Chasing 130 runs, Malaysia batters were a let down as four of them did even score a single run.

Malaysia were restricted to just 41 runs with seven balls to spare.

Elsa Hunter and Arianna Natasya both managed nine runs each while Ainna Hamizah Hashim scored eight runs.

Nigar Sultana made 53 runs for Bangladesh from 34 balls while Murshida Khatun scored 56 runs from 54 balls.

Malaysia lost to Pakistan, India and the United Arab Emirates earlier.
