FORMER Queens Park Rangers striker Antonio German has walked out on Super League team Police during the Movement Control Order (MCO) period.
The sudden departure of the Grenada international has left Police one import player short as they prepare for the M-League which will resume on Aug 22.
Two-time Premier League champions Police are now left with Turkmenistan's Serdar Geldiyew and Sohrat Soyunow as their foreign aces for the remaining seven league matches.
Ishak Kunju, chief coach of the Cops, did not want to dwell into the German issue but said the latter has no place in his team for the rest of the season.
"I can say that he is no longer in my plans because he didn't follow any of our training programmes given to the the players during the MCO," said Ishak.
It is understood that German left for England in April, citing the death of a relative after two months with Police.
But he did not seek the team management's approval, which is stipulated in his contract.
It is also learnt that the 28-year-old has demanded two to three months' salary as compensation.
However, details of the ongoing discussion between German, his agent and Police is yet to be made known.
Last year, German joined Selangor in January but left after 10 pre-season and three regular games where he scored nine goals.
In an interview with BBC, German said racial abuse by Selangor fans had led to him leaving the Red Giants in February.
Meanwhile Ishak admitted that he is worried that Police captain, Safiee Ahmad may not be able to join the team for training as he is still with his family in Sarawak.
Following the number of growing Covid-19 cases in Sarawak, Ishak fears his captain may not be able to rejoin the team on Sunday if there is any form of quarantine or travel restrictions.
Before the M-League was suspended on March 16 due to coronavirus, Ishak's team were bottom of the Super League table after four matches.
