SELANGOR coach B. Satiananthan does not want his players to be distracted by reports claiming that he may no longer be at the club next season when they face PJ City FC at UiTM Stadium today.
"About the contract extension, it does not affect me in any way. I am still contracted to coach and give my best to the team.
"A coach can only guide the players in training and matches. It is all up to them to get good results," said the former national coach yesterday.
Satiananthan confirmed that Spanish striker Rufino Segovia will take to the field today.
"Nigerian striker Ifedayo Olusegun will unlikely start as he has just joined training after completing the 14-day quarantine period.
"Segovia is not 100 per cent yet, but he will play. I hope he can hold the fort in attack."
Selangor, who recorded five wins in as many friendly matches, are in no mood to drop points in their remaining seven matches.
"The players are eager to give their best. We may have had encouraging results in friendly matches but it should not be used as a yardstick.
"PJ City are hungry for a win following their recent league defeat to Terengganu.
"We, however, are in the mood to win all our remaining matches.
"I believe our players can deliver tomorrow (today)," he added.
