KUALA LUMPUR: Negri Sembilan have reignited their hopes of finishing second in the Super League following a 3-2 win over Sarawak United in Paroi today.
With four games remaining, K. Devan's side are third with 35 points, a rung below Sabah on 36.
Negri scored through Gustavo Almeida dos Santos (18th and 68th minutes) and Matheus Alves (80th), while Raja Imran Shah Raja Amin (31st) and Nur Shamie Iszuan Amin (87th) replied for Sarawak United.
At the Hang Jebat Stadium, Mahmoud Al-Mardi was the toast of Kedah with a brace in the 3-0 win over Melaka United.
Al-Mardi scored in the 13th and 89th minutes with Fayadh Zulkifli adding the other goal in the 84th minute.
Kedah are fifth with 24 points, four rungs above Melaka on 17.
