KUALA LUMPUR: Johor Darul Ta'zim (JDT) coach Hector Bidoglio believes that when his players play fast, they think better.
And this was one of the main factors that enabled the Southern Tiger to reach the Malaysia Cup semi-finals with an 8-0 aggrgate win over Kelantan.
The Super League and FA Cup winners crushed Kelantan 5-0 in the second leg yesterday at the Sultan Ibrahim Stadium.
"When you play fast, the players will think. In the first 25 minutes, our players played with too much attitude and didn't think. Later they were fast, with high press, moved and played the ball well," said Bidgolio.
Bergson Da Silva notched a hat-trick ((12th, 34th and 37th minute for the Southern Tigers while Syahmi Safari (40th) and Nazmi Faiz Mansor (45th) completed the scoring for JDT.
In another quarter-final match, Sabah drew 1-1 against Kuching City and advanced 2-1 on aggregate.
JDT will meet Sabah in a two-legged semi-final on Nov 15 and Nov 19.
