KL City set to sign Tchetche

KUALA LUMPUR: Kuala Lumpur City (KL City) are poised to sign Ivory Coast hitman Kipre Tchetche from Terengganu for next year's M-League.

The City Boys hope the recruitment of Tchetche, 34, can strengthen their frontline, which has been struggling in the past two seasons due to injuries.

Terengganu confirmed that they had released Tchetche.

A source said the KL City FC management believed Tchetche could solve their problems upfront.

"Tchetche is confirmed leaving Terengganu as the team are undergoing a revamp.

"His quality is well known in the M-League. He works well with other players and has a good track record with his previous teams."

Tchetche has been a familiar face in the M-League, featuring with Terengganu (2017-2019) and Kedah (2020-2021) before rejoining the East Coast side last season, scoring 19 goals.
