Red Eagles closing in on second place

KUALA LUMPUR: Kedah beat KL City 1-0 at KLFA Stadium yesterday to stay in the hunt for second place in the Super League.

The Red Eagles scored just before halftime through Ifedayo Omosuyi.

With four games, Kedah have 47 points while second-placed Selangor have 52.

In Kuantan, Sri Pahang edged bottom- of-the-table Kuching City 3-2 to move into fourth in the standings with 43 points.

Pahang scored through Stefano Brundo, Kuvondik Ruziev and

Rafael Da Silva while Kuching City replied through Pedro Henrique and Abu Kamara.
