SHAH ALAM: Selangor FC (SFC) winger Faisal Halim is showing positive signs after undergoing his third operation on Thursday.
SFC technical committee chairman Datuk Seri Shahril Mokhtar today revealed that the national player is craving for nasi kandar.
Shahril said he regularly communicates with Faisal via voice notes.
Faisal sustained serious injuries in an acid attack on May 5 and is receiving treatment at a private hospital in Shah Alam.
"He can speak more clearly now," said Shahril when met within the hospital compound today.
"His appetite has also improved. He can already start eating normal food instead of only soft foods.
"I heard that he is craving for nasi kandar."
Shahril added that Faisal, also known as Mickey, has been moved out of intensive care and into a regular ward.
"Visitors are still not allowed. His condition is stable but still sensitive. The doctors are monitoring, and his next procedure is scheduled for next week," said Shahril.
"The (early) skin allograft procedure has gone well.
"He will next undergo a homograft procedure where skin is taken from other areas of his body to be transplanted to the injured areas.
"Faisal will remain in hospital for at least another two weeks."
Faisal sustained fourth-degree burns on various sections of his body in the acid attack.
