Faisal Halim exchanges voice notes with his teammates

SHAH ALAM: Faisal Halim, who is being treated at a hospital in Shah Alam after a horrific acid attack by unknown assailants, has begun communicating with his Selangor teammates.

This signals a positive development in his recovery from serious injuries caused by fourth-degree burns.

The football star was transferred from the hospital's intensive care unit to a regular ward a few days ago.

Faisal has started sending motivational messages to his Selangor teammates as they prepare for their first Super League match of the season against Kedah on Saturday.

"Faisal's recovery is on a positive trajectory, and as of Thursday evening, he underwent a minor procedure for his wound. And he has already initiated contact with his teammates via voice notes," said Selangor FC Technical Committee chairman, Datuk Seri Shahril Mokhtar.

In another update, Faisal has been granted daily hospital visits from his son. However, he has yet to get to eat his favourite nasi kandar.

It is learnt that national team head coach Kim Pan Gon paid Faisal an early morning visit.
