KUALA LUMPUR: A Perak player was alleged to have made an obscene gesture during a Super League match against Selangor at the MBPJ Stadium yesterday.
Perak midfielder Nur Azfar Fikri Azhar allegedly made the X-rated gesture during the second half of the match.
The incident is said to have occurred during a ball tussle between Azfar and Selangor's Zikri Khalili. Azfar requested a throw-in, but the referee awarded it to Selangor instead.
The frustrated Azfar, who was substituted in the second half, was alleged to have directed an obscene gesture to a linesman, an act captured on camera.
This has led to fans slamming the act as disrespectful and unprofessional,
Azfar, incidentally, scored a goal in the 2-1 loss to the Red Giants.
